Build. Break. Rebuild. The ouroboros is a reminder that systems are never finished objects: they loop through failure, repair, and renewal. I learn by running the cycle again, making each version more resilient than the last.

  • Building a production-style homelab to practice infrastructure security, automation, and observability at scale.
  • Using Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS with Ansible for configuration management and Docker Compose as the current container layer, with K3s planned later.
  • Planning a secrets workflow with HashiCorp Vault and SOPS, plus Prometheus/Grafana monitoring and Loki logging.
  • Documenting hardware, build decisions, and architecture choices as the system evolves, with GitHub Actions planned through a self-hosted runner.

  • Built and self-hosted a personal cloud environment on a headless Ubuntu Server node using Docker and Portainer.
  • Configured secure remote access through Cloudflare Tunnels and Tailscale to work around CGNAT restrictions without port forwarding.
  • Ran live services including a Python Telegram automation bot, algorithmic trading workloads, and the Server HQ monitoring dashboard.
  • Retired this iteration after documenting the lessons that informed the current infrastructure rebuild.

  • Trade management handles 40-pip break-even moves, optional risk-free pyramiding, cooldowns, and per-direction re-entry locks.
  • Includes a custom on-chart GUI panel for live state monitoring.

  • Led a team and designed the architecture for a cross-platform barber booking app with mobile and web interfaces.
  • Designed a multi-role NoSQL schema optimized for real-time state sync and low-latency document reads.
